The Akai Professional EWI USB brings wind-style expression to computer-based music. A breath sensor responds to how you blow, while the mouthpiece vibrato sensor responds to gentle bite pressure. Thirteen touch-sensitive note keys, octave rollers and pitch-bend plates provide expressive control without traditional moving keywork.

Multiple fingering systems include EWI, saxophone, flute, oboe and EVI, configured through the supported software. USB carries power and MIDI to a compatible computer. The EWI USB has no built-in sound engine or speakers: use it with suitable MIDI instrument software and an audio playback system.

The standard package includes the EWI USB, three-metre USB cable, neckstrap, cleaning cloth, software DVD and documentation. Check the bundled software and operating-system requirements for your computer before purchase. This offer includes one controller; an extra replacement mouthpiece, headphones, computer, speakers and carrying case are not included.
