The AKAI Professional MPD218 is a compact Black USB MIDI pad controller for hands-on beat programming and performance with compatible music software. Its sixteen velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads respond to your playing dynamics; three pad banks provide access to forty-eight pad assignments.

Six rotary knobs provide continuous parameter control. Three control banks allow up to eighteen independent parameter assignments, while Full Level mode sends a consistent maximum pad velocity. Note Repeat, swing settings and Tap Tempo support rhythmic pad performances.

The USB connection carries MIDI data and supplies power from a compatible computer. The MPD218 controls software instruments or other compatible MIDI setups; it does not generate its own audio. Current device, operating-system and software requirements should be checked with AKAI before use.

Includes one MPD218 controller, USB cable, software download cards and manufacturer documentation. Software availability and registration terms depend on the current manufacturer offer; no fixed software version or paid licence is promised. A computer, mobile connection adapter and external audio equipment are not included.
