The Alesis SR-16 is a standalone drum machine with 233 drum and percussion sounds and twelve velocity-sensitive pads. Dynamic Articulation changes the character of many sounds with playing strength, giving programmed rhythms a more expressive feel.

Start with 50 preset patterns, each with A/B variations and associated fills, or record and edit your own rhythms and arrange them into songs. Fifty preset and fifty editable user drum sets let you choose sounds and adjust tuning, level and stereo placement.

Main left/right outputs and an auxiliary output support external audio equipment, while MIDI In and Out/Thru connect compatible instruments and sequencers. Two footswitch inputs provide Start/Stop and Count/A/B/Fill control with optional pedals. The standard package includes the SR-16, power adapter and manuals. Footswitches, audio/MIDI cables, headphones and external speakers are not included.
