The Alesis VI25 is a compact USB/MIDI keyboard controller with 25 full-size, semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys and aftertouch. Sixteen velocity-sensitive RGB pads support finger drumming and clip triggering, while eight assignable knobs and twenty-four assignable buttons provide hands-on control of compatible software and MIDI equipment.

Pitch-bend and modulation wheels, octave buttons, dedicated transport controls and a parameter display support expressive playing and recording. Tap Tempo and Roll functions provide rhythmic pad control, and the VI Editor lets you customize control assignments.

USB carries MIDI and powers the controller from a computer. A five-pin MIDI output connects compatible external sound equipment, and a sustain input accepts an optional pedal. The standard package includes the VI25, USB cable, software download card and documentation. Software access and compatibility depend on the applicable registration and publisher requirements. This controller has no built-in sound engine or speakers; computer, sound equipment, sustain pedal, MIDI cable and optional standalone power supply are not included.
