The BOSS SL-2 transforms guitar, keyboard and other audio signals into rhythmic patterns. It includes 88 onboard patterns arranged as eight types with eleven variations each. Attack and Duty controls adjust the shape and length of the audio slices, with Tempo and Balance controls for the rhythm and mix.

Mono/stereo inputs and outputs, tap tempo, external footswitch or expression control and TRS MIDI input support flexible setups. Connect to BOSS Tone Studio on a compatible computer to explore and load alternative patterns.

Power it with a 9V alkaline battery or an optional BOSS PSA-series adapter. The standard package includes a 9V battery and safety documentation. Power adapter, external controllers and cables are sold separately. Instruments and other equipment shown in lifestyle photos are not included.
