Cove.bm – Payment Policy

Introduction
This Payment Policy explains how payments work on Cove.bm and in the Cove mobile apps ("Services"). It covers payment methods, authorization, charges, tips (if offered), chargebacks, and subscription billing (if offered).
1. Currency
All prices and charges are shown in $ unless otherwise stated. Prices are generally in Bermudian dollars (BMD).
2. Accepted Payment Methods
- Major credit and debit cards;
- Digital wallets (where supported); and
- Other payment methods we make available in the Services.
We may use third-party payment processors to process payments. Cove does not store full card numbers.
3. Payment Authorization and Capture
- Authorize your payment method for the estimated total (including Products, Delivery Fees, and any other fees shown at checkout); and
- Capture (charge) your payment method when the order is confirmed, fulfilled, or delivered (depending on how the Services are configured).
Sometimes, the final amount may change (for example, substitutions, partial fulfillment, unavailable items, promotions applied, or corrected pricing). If the final amount is lower than the authorized amount, we will capture only the final amount and any remaining authorized amount will be released by your bank (timing depends on your bank).
4. Payment Failures
If your payment method is declined or cannot be charged, your order may not be confirmed. We may request an alternative payment method.
We may also suspend or limit accounts associated with repeated payment failures, suspected fraud, or chargeback abuse.
5. Receipts and Invoices
You will receive an electronic receipt (and/or invoice) for your order by email and/or in the app. You agree that these receipts are provided electronically.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there is an error with a charge, contact support@cove.bm before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Many issues can be resolved faster through our support team.
If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we may:
- Request information from you to investigate;
- Provide order and delivery evidence to your bank (for example, order confirmations, delivery confirmation, and communications); and
- Suspend or restrict your account in cases of repeated chargebacks or suspected abuse.
You remain responsible for all amounts owed for legitimate orders.
7. Promotions and Credits
Promotional codes and credits are subject to the specific terms displayed in the Services. They have no cash value and may expire or be revoked if we reasonably believe they are being misused.
8. Cove Club or Subscription Billing
- You authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method.
- Membership renews automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend membership benefits until payment succeeds.
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where the signup terms state otherwise.
